Half Day Rookie Run

You will have an introduction into the world of dog sledding, the huskies and the history of mushing. You can ride in the sled as a passenger or try your hand at riding on the runners in charge of your own team.

 

Then it´s time to hook up the huskies and get on down the trail. We will travel through the Taiga forests, over rolling hills and across frozen lakes.

 

We will see plenty of tracks from the wildlife that live in this area and hopefully we will get a chance to see some of the animals, such as moose, reindeer, fox, wolverine or lynx.

 

On this trip we will be traveling between 15 and 20 km. Half way around, we will stop for a short break to give the dogs a small snack . You can take this opportunity to take those memorable photos.

 

When we return to the kennel you can help with taking care of the huskies. Then relax with your new friends with a good warm snack and drink, reflecting on a wonderful experience.
