I would like to thank you for visiting our web-site and at the same time welcome you to Spindrift Sleddog Tours. 

 

I would also like to take this opportunity to tell you about our company

 

 I am Johanna Leonard and I live here in the small village of Sörnoret located in the forests of  Lapland, Sweden. Together with my husband Huw we operate the company, with help from our three daughters Megan, Melissa and Marle, plus naturally our kennel of friendly  Alaskan Huskies. Every year we have new Guide/ handlers to assist us with running our business.

 

We have been running huskies since 1992, and we all run the dogs, so this is a real family affair. We have operated this company for several years and every year we try to improve the experience and offer new programs.

We have taught many people how to drive their own dog teams over the years. Young and old, from many different countries and backgrounds. It fills us with such pride and warm satisfaction to see all the smiling faces and listen to all the positive reactions after a wonderful run with a sleddog teams.

 

 Living in such a wonderful environment and having this extraordinary way of life is something we would like to share with people and this is why we set up this company.

 

The name is easy to explain. When the snow blows across wind swept lakes it is referred to as "spindrift" and we have adopted this as the company and kennel name. 

 

For us there is no better way to travel through this land of wonder than with our companions and our huskies. It only makes the experience all the more enjoyable and memorable. We hope you take the opportunity to join us on a Dogsledding Adventure in Lapland
